For the Gary's Albrecht Color above, mix a Toned Yellow Orange first; Yellow Oxide, Eng Red Oxide, Carbon Black, 3:1:touch, then add the Phthalo Blue to make it blue and lighten with white.  This was his favorite way to make blues.  The Toned Yellow Orange is a complement to the blues and tones it very well.  This is one Traditional way to tone blues for the Norwegian palette. Make Albrecht Grey Blue Dark first then lighten with 6 or 30 parts Warm White.

4= Phthalo Blue

3= Yellow Oxide

1= English Red Oxide

touch= Carbon Black

6 or 30 = Warm White
